Tequila straws are made from natural agave fibres
Tequila Straws are made by Penka® products located in Mexico.
They are manufactured with PolyAgave®, a line of bioplastic materials made from natural fibres which are the byproduct of agro-industrial processes.
When they remove the juice from agave plants to make Tequila, there is a lot of leftover material. This is used to make our straws.
Our bio-based material has been approved by FDA in the USA, which certifies food contact.
