  • All of our products are manufactured from natural fibre bioplastics, and with a unique and patented 100% Mexican technology. Our main raw material is the agave bagasse. We give life to agave fibre cellulose by incorporating it to everyday products, thus replacing traditional plastics.

  • Penka® products are mainly made with PolyAgave®, which is a line of bioplastic materials made from vegetable fibres, byproducts of agro-industrial processes. (from the tequila industry)

  • No, they aren’t certified vegan. They are made from plant-based materials and no protein is added, however, we are waiting on a conclusive answer on this.

  • There are no known reactions. Tequila Straws have been in the marketplace 2 years in USA and have not caused any known allergic reactions.

  • They need to be stored in cool dry conditions, don’t need to be temperature controlled. Moisture is the catalyst for microbes doing their thing and consuming and processing the straws as a food source.

  • Our products are made 100% in Mexico.

  • Yes! No wheat was used in production.

  • You would not believe it… but YES!

  • They do not have an expiration date. IF they are subjected to damp conditions similar to landfill then microbes will start breaking them down. Advice is to store in a cool, dry area.

  • Tequila Straws have been approved by AQIS. They are plant-based so they needed to prove production process and risk to Australian environment, and clearly they passed.
