Edwin Reese
I am passionate about the art of the tequila manufacturing process. As a result, I became a trader for a longstanding client of mine, Nettrade Pacific Pty Ltd, selling Premium Tequila called La Cofradia.
It is through this venture that I discovered the agave fibre by-product, which is usually thrown away, but can actually be used to create plant-based sustainable products, more specifically… straws!
My aim is to introduce agave based straws into the Australian market, with a particular focus on Mexican restaurants, bars, and tequila-affiliated companies.

Working with entrepreneurs to help them launch new businesses has introduced me to many great people and ideas. When Edwin introduced his tequila range to me and mentioned he can import straws from Mexico made from the agave remnants of the process, I was sold!
Tequila Straws was born to solve the problems created by plastic straws. Ours are environmentally friendly and much more durable than paper alternatives.
We are looking forward to building a great business in Australia by partnering with local restaurants, bars and clubs to provide a high-quality, sustainable solution.
